SAM 365 is the Microsoft side of the same practice: the licensing estate, reviewed operationally every month. Light is a one-off at a fixed fee. Both subscription tiers are priced on a single metric, Users Under Management, meaning human user accounts holding a Microsoft 365 licence. Managed agent and service identities are included at no additional charge. Fees are billed monthly in arrears on actual users, and a 12-month commitment carries a 20 per cent discount.

Before you sign anything

The questions procurement always ask. All the answers you’ll need.

How do we track the savings?

You can find your savings directly in the Microsoft 365 dashboards, under remediation and cost savings. They can be reviewed at any time so the saving is visible on an ongoing basis – rather than just at a year-end.

How much of our team’s time does this take?

For Light, we’ll need four to five hours from one of your IT leads to run the collection and gather the data. Setting the tool up takes between three and five working days for installation and configuration. Every organisation has its own requirements, so the time varies and is planned with you before the roll-out.

What are the SAM 365 dashboards?

The SAM 365 dashboards give you a complete view of your Microsoft 365 estate. They cover seven areas: Persona, Renewal, Value, Contracts, Inventory, Trends and Forecast, and Anomalies. Data is drawn from Microsoft Graph and Entra ID through a read-only connection, so SAM 365 can report on your tenant but cannot make changes to it.

Do you resell Microsoft licences?

No. We hold no reseller agreement, no vendor rebate and no partner quota. After all, a partner whose margin grows with your consumption is never going to want to optimise it.

What happens to your data when the engagement ends?

It all depends on which engagement you had. Following a Light review we hand over the report and delete any data. If you sent us an export, there’s nothing to revoke. If you granted read-only access, we remove it on our side and you can withdraw consent yourself too. Our Professional and Premium subscriptions ensure your data never leaves your tenant. Everything stays with you – only our access ends.

Can we start small and widen the scope later?

Each tier builds on the one before it, so you can start with Light and move to Professional. Where additional services are needed, they can be added as you go.

What is a User Under Management?

A human user holding a Microsoft 365 licence. We bill on the number of Microsoft 365 users, which is a simple metric and always visible to both sides.

Can I cancel the subscription at any time?

On monthly billing, you can cancel at any time with 30 days' notice. On a 12-month commitment, you are committed for the full twelve months and can decide whether to continue at the end of the period.
